The Republic of the Union of Myanmar has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of the National Community Driven Development Project (NCDDP). The Department of Rural Development (DRD) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, in its role as implementing agency of the NCDDP, intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the procurement of tablets with power bank and high protection carry case.

 

The Department of Rural Development (DRD) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of:

Lot 1: 150 Desktop Computers with preinstalled O/S and MS Office

Lot 2: 135 Laptop Computers with preinstalled O/S and MS Office

Lot 3: 63 Budget PC’s for MIS Data Entry with Portable UPS 1200W

Lot 4: 17 Servers

Lot 5: 84 Portable Hard Disk Drives

 

This IT equipment will support the daily operations that the DRD will deploy in 20 new townships and 15 regional offices, in various geographical areas spread over the national territory. Part of the IT equipment will be delivered in the DRD central warehouse in Nay Pyi Taw (CIP Nay Pyi Taw). The other part will be delivered to the DRD regional premises in Yangon (CIP Yangon) from where it will be distributed to the townships and regional offices. The delivery time is limited to 45 (forty five) days to be counted from the date of signature of the contract.

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

 

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Department of Rural Development (DRD), Mr. Kyaw Swa Aung, Director of the Procurement and Logistic Section, (ksaung@gmail.com) and inspect the bidding documents during office hours Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 16.00 Hrs at the address given below.

 

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be obtained by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below. The bidding documents will be sent by e-mail only.

 

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before Monday 31 October 2016 at 10:00 Hrs (10.00 am) Myanmar time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on Monday 31 October 2016 at 11:00 Hrs (11.00 am) Myanmar time.

All bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Securing Declaration”.
